Michelle Burns (CrossFit Coach)

Michelle Burns is proud to be an NASM certified personal trainer since February 2017 as well as a level one CrossFit Coach since the Summer of 2013.

Michelle has always been active, starting her love for fitness and physical activity with running and weight training as a teenager. She completed three full marathons, multiple 5K’s and half marathons, as well as many obstacle course races before finding her current passion in CrossFit.

Michelle has been an avid CrossFitter for over five years and enjoys the functional and ever-changing workouts. Every day at the gym is fun, challenging, and different. She has completed, podiumed at, and won several local CrossFit competitions both individually and on teams, including The Ripped Games, Babes and Beards at CrossFit DOA, Clash of the Fittest, and Palm Beach Partner Throwdown at CrossFit Liger.

She competes in the CrossFit Open every year in the Spring and encourages everyone to give this competition a try: It’s open to every athlete in the world! In Spring 2017, Michelle competed in her first Strongman competition and placed first in her weight class and second overall. Michelle truly feels that we should use and enjoy our bodies to experience all that life has to offer, and believes that it is our responsibility to maintain our physical fitness throughout our lives.

Michelle loves sharing her passion for CrossFit and fitness in general with all age groups and would love to see people getting out of their chairs and away from their screens and enjoying physical activity in the great outdoors more often. Michelle loves to take her love for physical activity outside in any way possible; she enjoys snorkeling, spearfishing, swimming, stand-up paddle board, hiking, skiing… you name it! Her current goal is to learn how to kiteboard.

When Michelle is not training or coaching she is mom to Joshua, age 10, and a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist.
